What’s New in dB-Lab 212.813 – QC 7.11
New Minor dB-Lab Update
KLIPPEL is excited to announce the release of a new minor software update for the KLIPPEL Analyzer System, including dB-Lab 212.813 and QC 7.11. The update introduces several new features and performance enhancements designed to improve the speed, flexibility, and precision of acoustic testing and loudspeaker characterization. The update is free of charge for all customers using KLIPPEL R&D and QC software version 212.
Important notice (Windows driver update)
This update includes a mandatory fix for the Windows 11 driver signature policy, which was introduced in April 2026 by Microsoft. Older software versions may cause KA3 and PA systems to stop working due to blocked USB drivers. The updated version replaces the previous driver with a fully compliant, attestation-signed USB driver. We strongly recommend updating as soon as possible.
New R&D Modules
A major highlight of this release is the introduction of the new standard version of Fast Large Signal Identification (FLSI). Following the pre-release of FLSI Prof in 2025 (What’s New in dB-Lab 212.805 – QC 7.8), the FLSI module is now available in two configuration levels (FLSI Standard and FLSI Pro) tailored to different engineering requirements.
Fast Large Signal Identification (FLSI) Standard Pre-Released
The new FLSI Standard version provides a simplified and more cost-effective solution for advanced large signal identification tasks. It uses the same advanced measurement technology as FLSI Pro and delivers identical measurement speed, automation capabilities, and accuracy. FLSI Standard supports the same loudspeaker transducer and enclosure types as FLSI Pro while offering a reduced, familiar parameter set known from LPM/LSI workflows.

Updates in R&D Modules
Fast Large Signal Identification (FLSI) Pro
In addition, the FLSI Pro module has been extended with enhanced hardware support, additional transducer compatibility, and advanced thermal analysis functionality.
QC 7.11 Update
The QC 7.11 release introduces several functional improvements to streamline quality control workflows and remote operation capabilities. Enhancements include extended QC Remote API functionality for setup and limit parameter handling, additional API calls for limit calculation and reference DUT management, as well as new documentation and application support resources.
Two new Application Notes are now available:
- AN 46 – Test Enclosure for End-of-Line Testing
This application note describes state-of-the-art concepts for robust and stable test enclosures used in loudspeaker production quality control. It covers solutions for full-range drivers, woofers, tweeters, and complete loudspeaker systems, including additional leakage testing procedures.
- AN86 – In-Car Acoustic Measurements
Based on the AES Technical Committee on Automotive Audio white paper “In-car Acoustic Measurements v1.0,” this application note explains standardized measurement procedures for frequency response, Max-SPL, and impulsive distortion measurements in automotive environments using microphone arrays.
Hardware Updates
Include a new Windows 10/11-compliant USB audio driver for KA3 and PA systems, along with a firmware update (v0.286) that improves device startup reliability and update behavior.
